Ashland Pump Track Update
Exciting News: Update on East Main Park Pump Track!
We're thrilled to share an update on the Ashland Pump Track Park project, a collaborative effort between RVMBA and Ashland Parks and Recreation (APRC). Over the past several years, we've been hard at work planning and advocating for a new park featuring a professionally designed pump track and skills area.
Project Update:
APRC has identified an opportunity to secure a $1M grant from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department to build Phase One of East Main Park. This phase includes the construction of the pump track, skills park, picnic areas, bike repair station, as well as parking, restrooms and necessary infrastructure.
Your Support Matters:
On Wed March 13 at 6pm in the Council Chambers, the APRC Commissioners will decide whether to direct staff efforts towards applying for this grant. Your support is crucial! RVMBA will be at the meeting to reaffirm our support to community involvement, applying for grants, fundraising, and securing in-kind donations to help defray the ~$600K estimate for the pump track and skills park areas.
Take Action:
Here's how YOU can make a difference:
Send a message: Voice your support by emailing sending a message to all of the park commissioners. Deadline: Tuesday March 12 at noon. LINK
Attend the next APRC meeting at 6pm on Wednesday, March 13 @City Council Chambers (1175 E Main St).
We want to affirm both RVMBA's and the greater community's commitment to supporting this park and our desire to build this great community asset.
We've updated the website with our newest designs. Take a look! And thanks as always for your support.
