2024 Year in Review
RVMBA Spring Member Party was great!
Hey, RVMBA Members and Community!
2024 was a busy year for the Rogue Valley Mountain Bike Association! Together, we accomplished incredible things for the community and the trails we spend so much time on.
I want to take a moment to celebrate what we’ve achieved and look ahead to the adventures waiting in 2025.
2024 Highlights
$117,000 Grant Secured for Mt A Line
This year, we successfully secured a $117,000 grant to help fund the $150,000 Mt A Line trail project on Mt Ashland. Construction is planned to begin in June 2025, and it’s shaping up to be an epic mile of trail for local riders and visitors.
Dollar Mountain Trails Breakthrough
We played a critical role in getting the $750,000 Dollar Mountain trail project rolling, with 4 miles completed so far (and ready to ride!). Once finished, this incredible network will add 25 miles of trail to our north!
East Main Street Park Pump Track Momentum
RVMBA continues to be a catalyst for bringing pump tracks in the Rogue Valley. We’re thrilled to announce that $2 million in funding has been secured for Phase 1 of the all-new East Main St Park in Ashland. This park will be a hub for riders of all ages and skills and their families.
Sidewalk Choking Spring Member Party
You showed up in force! The spring member party overflowed onto the sidewalk, and welcomed 50 new members. We raised $6,400 in donated raffle items from local businesses and $3,182 in cash donations for trail maintenance projects.
Lizard Trail Machine Rebuild
The most ridden trail in the Rogue Valley had its upper portion rebuilt in order to enhance the build done on the lower portion in 2023.
Community Trail Work Impact
Our community donated more than 1,250 trail work hours—equivalent to $42,000 in value. And our volunteer Board of Directors went above and beyond, contributing an estimated 2,800 hours, equivalent to $94,000. It’s behind the scenes work, but their dedication pays off! Be sure and thank a board member next time you see them!
Trail Builder Swag & Gear Upgrades
From limited edition Trail Builder hats to RVMBA t-shirts, we’ve been sharing the love with some of our most active members. We also rejuvenated the RVMBA trailer and invested over $4,000 in trail tools. Ready to grab a shovel? Join us!
If all goes as hoped, we’ll be opening the Mt A Line trail in late Summer, the East Main St pump track in the Fall, and riding new trails at MOTR and Dollar Mountain. As we plan for 2025, RVMBA is ready to build on this momentum and take bold steps forward. With your continued support, we’ll:
Start examining Madrone Ridge!
We’re excited to explore the potential for a brand-new Madrone Ridge trail network on 2,000 acres of land adjacent to the city of Ashland. This will be a transformative addition to our trail system. Stay tuned as we learn more and learn how you can help make Madrone Ridge a reality.
Continue to Grow our Sponsor Partnerships
Mountain bike trails don’t happen without a lot of hard work – and expenses. And every step of the way our sponsors are there to support the effort. Local businesses like Loon Outdoors, REI Medford, WorkSharp Tools, Full Circle Real Estate, Welburn Electric joined Travel Southern Oregon to help make all of this work possible. If your organization is interested in supporting us, drop us a line!
Support New Trail Dreams
RVMBA continues to advocate for the community’s vision of additional trails at Mountain of the Rogue (MOTR) and to champion entirely new trail networks at Butte Falls and Buck Prairie.
Represent and Expand Across the Rogue Valley
As we mature as an organization, RVMBA aims to better represent the entire Rogue Valley, uniting our communities around the trails we all love. We’re working to expand our capacity to enhance, protect, and care for these treasured spaces.
With these ambitious goals in sight, your engagement is more important than ever.
Thank you for being part of our community!

President, RVMBA
