BECAUSE MOUNTAIN BIKING IS BETTER WITH TRAILS
From Ashland to Grants Pass, we live in a fantastic place with world class trails. Our goal is to protect and expand mountain biking opportunities in Southern Oregon’s Rogue Valley.
RVMBA believes that trails are for everyone.
We’re committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment that invites people of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities to explore, enjoy, and protect the trails of the Rogue Valley.
Our mission goes beyond building and maintaining trails; we’re also about building community. We’re dedicated to listening, learning, and taking meaningful steps to break down barriers to outdoor recreation and to ensure that all who share our trails feel a sense of belonging.
Whether you’re a climb-to-the-top-of-Mt A rider, a weekend warrior, or new to the world of mountain biking, RVMBA welcomes you to join us in celebrating our diverse community and the beautiful trails that connect us all.

Our highly anticipated project is finally taking shape! We've been hard at work planning, meeting, and connecting with all the key players. And the best part? We've secured a $117K grant from the Recreational Trail Program to help make this project a reality.
Combined with funds from our raffles and other resources, our total budget now stands at a whopping $150K. We hope to begin construction this spring! https://www.rvmba.org/mt-a-line

BIG NEWS: After 8 years of work to get to this point, the new $150,000 road to trail conversion we're calling the Mt A Line is finally breaking ground!
All trails in the Ashland Watershed will remain open EXCEPT the rough road from the main ski area parking lot to the start of the Bull Gap trail climb.
The Mt A Line trail will include a downhill jump line as well as an uphill/multi-use trail in the same road prism.
We're locked into the footprint of the road so are coming up with creative design solutions to ensure a sustainable, safe, and highly improved section of the ride from the top of the mountain.
Work should conclude in mid-August and we'll keep you posted on the official opening day party this September.
Huge thanks to the USFS staff for their partnership, to the Oregon Recreational Trails Program for grant funding, and to donors who've come forward to support this work.
Thanks for riding around this section of the trail. It's going to be worth it!

Don't forget to ride Easy Money trail when you're checking out the new Wood Rat trail at MOTR (Mountain of the Rogue). It's a great beginner lap for all skill levels and easy to access from the parking lot after a brief climb. RVMBA also helped with the construction and financing of this fun addition to the Rogue Valley trail system. Membership makes trails like these possible. Sign up today (link in bio).

Woodrat is open! RVMBA membership dues have funded the creation of a brand new, super fun trail at BLM's MOTR (Mountain Of The Rogue) trails near Rogue River, OR.
The Woodrat Trail is located close to the parking lot and shares a berm with Easy Money, so crisscrossing between the two trails is possible. It's a spicy GREEN trail with lots of berms, rollers, and tabletop jumps.
The trail was built by local dirt artists Jake Contreras and Bill Roussel.
Give it a ride and see if you can spot some of the (nocturnal) woodrat nests along the way!

Tammie used to have to drive to Bend to ride her adaptive mountain bike — until she asked us if there were any local trails she could access.
Thanks to a passionate crew of RVMBA volunteers, we hosted a trail work day last month on the Caterpillar climb to Lizard trail to remove pinch points and open up a loop.
Tammie test rode it recently, crashing a few times, smiling the whole time — and did 3 laps! You can read her story (link in bio).
We’re still learning. The trail needs fine-tuning, and Tammie’s dialing in her technique. But the joy on her face? That’s why we do this.
Trail access matters. For everyone. Join us. Become a member (Link in bio).

We are so excited about the new trails going in on Dollar Mountain near Grants Pass. And it can get confusing which trails are open in, which are still under construction. Use this easy guide and we will update as trails begin to open! Thanks for helping to keep everyone safe, including the trail construction crew as well as riders!

Mark your calendars! As part of the Spring Fling festivities happening the weekend of May 17, we are hosting a rad party @tggashland!

Please let us know if you plan to make it so we have an appoximate head count!
Cheers to the best time of year for digging

Last day to lend a hand! @bsamhammer has been hard at work getting the pump track dialed, and he's now almost done! Show up and move the last bits of dirt around and get the track ready for a grand opening tomorrow!

We're getting busy! We need volunteers to help rebuild the pump track at the dirt jumps! Dig will be happening this Sunday March 23, at 10am. Anyone who wants to volunteer needs to fill out a waiver from the city. Find it at the link in our bio, and we hope to find you there! Once again, this is a $3000 project we're undertaking. If you wish to help financially instead of physically, send us a donation through the link in our bio, we appreciate it!

Great news! The dirt pump track by the dog park is going to be rebuilt! We will be bringing in a truck load of decomposed granite and machine building the dirt pump track area, and then hand finishing (we will need volunteers to help once the machining is done (g ). This project will cost $3000 so if you’re and individual or business who wants to help us and the community, donate at the link in our bio!

Yesterday we got out to do some trail work on Caterpillar! Focused on widening the section between Lamb Saddle and Lizard and removing any pinch points or pesky stumps in the way. As a bonus we also widened the gate go around! Hopefully these improvements will be positive for hikers bikers and adaptive mountain bikers! Thanks to all who showed up to help, and to @ashlandspringshotel for feeding us!

🚨Trail work day announcement!🚨
Want to help make Lizard accessible to adaptive riders? This trail day will do just that! March 15 at 10am, meet us at the White Rabbit parking lot to work on Upper Caterpillar and Lizard!
Our main focus will be widening Caterpillar slightly to allow adaptive MTB's access to Lizard. Join us for this and FREE food after! Thank you to @nhgoregon for sponsoring this work day! #mtb #trailwork #adaptive #accessibility #freefood

Reminder to get your voice heard! Only 9 days left to complete the survey from @ashlandparksandrec! This survey will influence the direction our parks go for the next 10 years! The best part is you don't even have to be an Ashland resident! Speak for the trails so we can grow them and our community for years to come!

What a catch! RVMBA trail gnomes cleared this monster out in Grants Pass. We counted the rings ourselves and found that this tree was 190 years old! To put that into perspective, this tree sprouted in 1835, exactly 30 years before Grants Pass was founded in 1865!
