Ashland Ride 12/29/13

Ashland Ride – 12/29/13

Board members Peter and Lewis went for an Ashland ride on Sunday December 29th and brought a couple of RVMBA members along.  Lewis on his usual Grammo Titanium Toa 29er, Peter on the Unreal Carbon 650b, AJ borrowed a Morewood from Unreal Cycles while his custom painted Santa Cruz Bronson 650 gets finished this week.  Russel aboard a Carbon Santa Cruz Bronson and Jenny brought her Intense 275 Carbine.  New to the area and new to RVMBA, Boon brought along his Pivot.

Weather was foggy and cold in Central Point at the store but it promised to be warmer in Ashland out of the fog.

Parked at the White Rabbit parking lot and rode up to Four Corners from there.

Beautiful day for a ride, fantasitc trails and great company!

Loaded two rigs with six riders and off we went.

Bike pile shot was just missing Jenny’s Intense.

Ride on!

Trails were mostly dry with odd spots of moisture where the sun can’t get in.

Here’s what AJ had to say:

“We set out to ride Ashland today. Still without a bike the boys at Unreal Cycles let me borrow a Morewood Zula.

We pedaled from White Rabbit up to Four Corners “earning our descent” as they say. The ride down was spot on with perfect trail clarity and the average trail abuse. Ashland was a mission success.”
